Success Story: Ramshankar Tiwari of Kanpur added 750 farmers to Dynamic Farmers Producer Limited FPO in Sarsaul. Promoted organic farming and established a business of 60 lakh rupees.
Kanpur: It is said that if the intentions are strong then even the biggest difficulty can be made easier. The same thing has been done by Ramshankar Tiwari, a 28 -year -old young farmer resident of Sarsaul, Kanpur. He left all of them leaving his father and adopted farming tricks and considering the pain of the farmers, he pledged to help him. As a result, in just two years, they linked more than 750 farmers from Sarsaul and surrounding areas to the farmers producing organization (FPO). Today his FPO “Dynamic Kisan Producer Limited” is doing business of more than 60 lakh rupees.
This journey of Ramshankar Tiwari started in the year 2019 with the Namami Gange campaign. He worked as a Ganga messenger from his village Najafgarh, situated on the banks of the Ganges. When he came close to the farmers from this work of cleaning the Ganges, he realized how serious the problems of the farmers are. It was from here that why not organize farmers. After this, he planned to make FPO. Initially, only 10 farmers joined, then 100 and on seeing 750 farmers became part of the FPO.
Facility ranging from soil testing to free seeds
Ramshankar took several steps to solve the problems of farmers. He established a soil testing laboratory at the FPO office in Sarsaul, in which experts from IIT Roorkee also cooperate. This facility helped farmers understand the right condition of their soil and grow better crops. Along with this, he contacted the Horticulture Department and started providing free seeds to the farmers. This reduced the cost of farmers and increased income. Today, the FPO produces the produce of farmers directly to the market and is playing an important role in increasing their income.
Steps towards biological and natural farming
Ramshankar’s biggest success was that he removed the farmers from traditional farming and turned towards organic and natural farming. Initially this work was difficult, but gradually the farmers understood its benefits. Now many farmers are leaving pesticides in their fields and are using Jeevamrit, Ghanjivamrit, Dasprani, Dung, Cow urine and whey. Many farmers like farmers Rajesh Tripathi and Vijay say that their yield has improved due to organic farming and the quality of the crop has also increased. Recently, the organic crop of Sonamoti wheat has given new hope to farmers.
Today, at the age of 28, Ramshankar Tiwari has become the help of farmers not only in his village or district, but also from the surrounding districts. Their thinking and hard work have not only organized farmers but have also increased their income. Their FPO, who is doing business of 60 lakh rupees, is proof that if the will is strong, then farmers can also grow on the path of prosperity by joining modern methods.
