Traditional business
Sunita has adopted the art of making soil products in such a way that this traditional business survives. He believes that on festivals, wedding and other auspicious occasions like Deepawali, with electric skirting and candles, as well as idols of Ganesha and Lakshmi be made attractive. With this thinking, she prepares her products, so that traditional art can be preserved.
Talking to Local 18, Sunita said that she works continuously for 6 to 8 hours every day, so that she can prepare soil products and send it to the market. This also determines the sources of their income. Along with this, Sunita is also mastering her family children in the art of making idols, so that these skills remain alive in generations to come.
Sunita makes so many idols
Sunita says that despite never going to school, she learned this art well and now specializes in it. The government has also helped him, in which Ferma and Machines have been obtained. Through this, she prepares about 50 thousand idols, earthen utensils and other products in the season, which she sends to sell in the market.
Have to face challenges
However, there are some challenges in this work of Sunita. The biggest problem is that they have to face soil shortage. Also, there is a lack of proper place to sell the prepared idols in Sultanpur city. There is no space available to set up shop in the city’s Chowk where the idols are sold. Due to this, the pressure of external traders increases and local traders have to suffer losses, which affects Sunita’s hard work.
