Women of Kumbhariya village are making profits
The women of Kumbharia village have now become adept at making moong and urad papad. These women also prepare millet and wheat papad and earn income by selling them. Swaroopaben Sheldia, who is also involved in this work, says that she has up to 12th standard and makes Khakra and Papad with a women’s group in her village.
Swaroopaben says that in the beginning he started giving food and papad only to the women of his village, but gradually they liked their taste and orders started coming. Now every month 10 to 15 kg of Khakra is sold, which costs Rs 300 per kg. Apart from this, different types of papad are also prepared, which are sold 300 to 400 rupees per kg. With this work, women get employment sitting at home and they are increasing their income.
Women are getting financial freedom
Swaroopaben says that now five women make Khakra together and prepare it according to the order. Apart from this, millet and wheat papad are also made, whose demand is increasing day by day. Each woman earns 4000 to 6000 rupees per month, so that she is fulfilling the financial condition of her family along with meeting the needs of her home.
In the rural areas of Rajula taluka, women are increasing the income of their home by making Khakra, Papad and other types of dishes. This step is proving important towards their self -sufficiency. Now women are earning from home and it has become a strong way to improve their standard of living.

The women of Amreli district have proved that if women take resolutions, then any challenge can be crossed. This business of making Khakra and Papad has not only made a place in the local market, but it is also giving new employment opportunities to women. Now women are improving their world through their skills, due to which both their identity and confidence have increased.
