Udaipur. The story of women from rural areas of the district becoming self -sufficient has now become a source of inspiration. The ‘Daichi Group’, formed under the social initiative of Vedanta Group, has also given employment to hundreds of women with employment. Initially, women who were confined in the boundary wall of the house, today they are not only preparing products but are also selling them in different parts of the country. These women also sell food products in the group and also cells.

15 to 20 thousand earnings every month

So far, more than 600 women have joined this group, which make traditional food products like pickles, papad, syrup, spices. Now, going a step ahead, sewing-embroidery and handicraft items are also preparing items. They sell these products themselves in fairs, exhibitions and markets, due to which they are earning 15 to 20 thousand rupees per month. Women associated with Daichi Group say that initially she lacked confidence and she could not think that she would ever be able to do her work. But, training and sustainable guidance have given them the strength from which they marketing their products by setting up stalls today.

Women said that this journey of self -sufficiency has not only empowered them financially, but also increased their self -esteem and social identity. Now she is not only working for herself, but also making other women self -sufficient by connecting them to this campaign.
