Zhou was born in 1970. She was born in a small village. Mother died when she was just five years old. Father was a labourer, used to do wood work. There was so much shortage of money at home that Zhou had to leave school. She started taking care of the household work. But I was fond of reading. Read books in the evening by candlelight.
Then at the age of 16 he left the village and moved towards the city. She started working in the factory. First in a watch manufacturing factory. There he was taught glass cutting. But Zhou felt that this lesson would be useful throughout his life.
Then reached Shenzhen in 1988. That is the city of China which is the hub of factories. Changed jobs in many companies there. Learned new skills everywhere. In 2003 the company was named Lens Technology. Today it is the world’s number one touchscreen manufacturer. Big brands like Apple, Samsung, HP are its clients. The number of employees reached lakhs. The valuation of the company has reached $6 billion. Zhou’s net worth is 7.2 billion dollars i.e. about Rs 60,000 crore. Forbes called her the world’s richest self-made woman.
The journey from village girl to success queen was not easy for her. But every difficulty made me stronger. Even today she leads the company and inspires women.
