Success Story: ‘One should never look at age to learn any work..’ You must have heard this line many times. But only a few people prove this. A 63 year old woman made a business out of Tulsi whose product is being used in every house.

Have you ever thought that an ordinary woman can change your life? 63 year old Anju did just this. Anju, who returned to India after leaving her 25-year-old job in America, was so touched by the pain of Indian farmers that she started working even at such an old age.

Anju saw that the farmer brothers in India had acres of land, but their pockets were empty. Anju decided to help them. He rented a small plot from farmers and gave them jobs.

He thought, growing and selling foreign herbs would be a good business. But who knows, this plan will fail. No buyer was found. Potted plants were not sold, losses were incurred and excess herbs were stored.

Anju was not disappointed. He brainstormed and came up with a brilliant idea. Anju transformed basil into pesto dip. Started selling in small shops of the city under the name of Win Greens Farms and then gradually it became amazing! People started liking it so much that sales started skyrocketing due to word of mouth.

Anju realized that healthy and original dips-sausages are not sold in India like America. He launched more than 20 varieties. Help to farmers also continued. And then Wingreens farms captured the market. 90% market share in peak time, and today annual sales are more than Rs 250 crore.

This story of Anju is an inspiration for every Indian. It is not easy to leave the glamor of a foreign country and return home, but if you have the passion, anything is possible. He not only built his empire but also made thousands of farmers prosperous. By turning our indigenous herb like Tulsi into dips, he showed that the taste of success is sweetest in the indigenous form.

Today, Wingreens Farms dips are in every kitchen, and Anju’s smile hides the happiness that comes from true help. Anju’s passion also proves that there is magic in Indian startups, all it takes is courage.
