Success Story: Sometimes I was fascinated for borrowing, now a big network of 850 shops, inspiring Pinki Devi’s visit

Muzaffarpur: The story of Pinki Devi, a resident of Sarfuddinpur Panchayat of Bocha block of Muzaffarpur, is no less than a film. Till two years ago, Pinky Devi lived in her house and used to do a simple life. Her husband was the only earner and the family was going through financial crisis. Then Pinki Devi came to know about the livelihood from the people around. She started her new life by joining Jeevika and is now giving employment to other women with good earnings.

Mahajan started with 30 thousand rupees on interest
Pinky joined livelihood in 2023. People are trained to make a company to become self -sufficient in livelihood. In 2024, Pinky took training and then formed his own company. He started making products like candles, water, fish grains, cow’s grain, chicken granule, papad, sattu, gram flour and started selling in the market. As the demand increased, he also increased his production. Initially, he started it with a gum with a gum on interest from Mahajan of the village. Under the livelihood scheme, 850 small shops running in the village were tagged from Pinki Devi’s shop, which takes goods from their shop.

Training and employment providing women
Later, Pinky got the benefit of various schemes of the government, since then Pinky has made her own identity as a female entrepreneur and now the financial situation of the family has also improved. They have also started training and employment to other women. Pinky got a license to sell all the products made of milk under the government’s 7 decision scheme, after which she was provided the code, where all the milk items come from Patna Dairy.

350 women get employment

Under the Pradhan Mantri Food Security Scheme, he got a license for a mini mall, in which all the ingredients of daily use can be purchased. Under the Pradhan Mantri Fertilizer Scheme, a license was received to sell fertilizer, seeds, medicines and equipment in farming. Pinky has named her company Chakahelal Fish Farmer Producer Company Limited. Today, 350 women live in livelihood from this company.

Inspiration for other women
Women associated with the group do bouquet, papad, chutney, pickle, packaging, planting and irrigation work. Pinky sets up stalls in government fairs, which also makes direct contact with customers. Pinky has also received awards from the Chief Minister in the field of agriculture and women’s entrepreneurship. Today Pinky has become an inspiration for other women.
