Giridih: Dynasty Singh, who lives in Sadar block of Giridih district of Jharkhand, is retirement from a teacher. He started gardening to spend time and stay healthy after retirement. Today, there are more than 900 trees of mango, guava and lemon in his field. Now they are earning well from horticulture. For this, he took advantage of government schemes. They got these plants from Palandu, Chhattisgarh and Bhagalpur and are now earning well.
Retirement teacher is amazing in farming
Please tell that Dynasty Singh was a teacher in the first school. He retired in 2016. After this, he started gardening in his field. They now have more than 900 trees, including mango, guava, lemon and seasonal trees. Mango has many varieties like lame, Jardalu, Himsagar, Amrapali. Guava has many varieties like Allahabad Safeda and Lalit. Guava starts giving fruit only after 6 months. Every year they produce 10 quintals of mango and 10 quintals of guava. Guava gives fruit twice a year. In 2019, he has also received the award from the then Governor Draupadi Murmu.
Bumper earning from horticulture
Farmer Dynasty Singh says that earlier he used to cultivate vegetables, but could not work so hard after retirement. Then he adopted the path of horticulture. He started horticulture using high technology and also took advantage of government schemes. Now he also share information with other farmers so that they too can earn well.
