He said that the nearest school was on a 45 -minute drive. In the eighth grade, he moved to Hyderabad and enrolled in a boarding school as a junior. Jijurikar said that the years of his high school in Hyderabad helped him really find himself. He discovered cricket, in which he was an expert and used to play competitively every Sunday. In 12th grade, he was made the head boy of the school, which gave him a real opportunity to lead.
Jijurikar said that one of the most important lessons of his life, he got during his time as a head boy. Usually students used to wake up in the morning, used to go for PE (Physical Education), then came back to their dom and took a bath and then went in the hours of studies. As a head boy, Jijurikar’s job was to ensure that everyone’s rooms were arranged and the beds were made properly. He usually used to make his bed before going for PE every morning, but one day he was in a hurry and forgot. When he was checking the rooms of other students whether he had cleaned or not, he realized that he had forgotten to make his bed.
Jijurikar said that later he came to know that his chemistry teacher had seen his mistake, made a bed and did not say anything to Jijurikar that there is no comment, no lecture, nothing. This gave me the biggest lesson. I learned from this that never ask anyone to do the work that I cannot do myself. Jijurikar did a college in Bombay and then did MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. P&G appointed him as Assistant Brand Manager in 1989, and since then he has worked for the company in various cities around the world.
Shailesh Jejurikar Salary: P&G company has decided to give a salary of $ 1.6 million to Jejurikar, as well as a potential bonus of $ 3.2 million. The board has also given him a long -term equity of $ 14 million, which is equally divided between performing shares and long -term incentive awards.
