Amidst household responsibilities, he started making Amla products through self-help groups. Initially it was only to support the family and earn a little income, but his hard work and dedication turned it into a successful business.
People are liking the product very much
While talking to Local 18, Meera Tiwari told that earlier she was only a housewife. Later she formed Gulab Mahila Self-Help Group and through this group started making Amla laddus and barfi so that she could help the family financially. In the beginning, he started making small quantities of laddus and barfi and selling them to the people nearby. People liked it so much that now their demand is continuously increasing.
Amla is rich in Vitamin C, which increases the body’s immunity. Its consumption prevents cold and cough and also keeps the skin glowing. Eating Amla laddu and barfi keeps the digestive system strong, stomach clean and energy remains in the body.
Demand increased during festivals
Meera Tiwari tells that when people tasted the laddus and barfi made by her, they liked it very much. Gradually her demand increased and now she has started selling her products in the markets around Gonda also. The sales of their laddus and barfi increase further during the festive season. Due to which they earn good income in a month.
Meera Tiwari says that she started this work with very little capital. Now many women have joined them, who together prepare Amla products. This has not only increased their household income, but women are also becoming self-reliant. Meera says that if some support and market is provided by the government, she can take her work further.
