According to Karunashankar, he planted 1700 saplings in about 5 bighas of land, the total cost of which till its completion came to Rs 1 lakh and he sold bananas worth Rs 5 lakh. Due to this, they are getting a lot of benefit in banana farming.

Farmer Krishna Kumar Singh, resident of a village under Baldirai tehsil of Sultanpur district, told Local 18 that he has left the traditional crops paddy and wheat and started banana cultivation, in which he started getting good profits at low cost. Now he is cultivating bananas in most of his fields. He told that he planted 1100 saplings in 1 acre of land, the total cost till which was ready was Rs 1 lakh and he sold bananas worth Rs 3 lakh. Due to this, they are getting good profits in banana farming.
