Success Story: Suman from Muzaffarnagar started the business of making pickles and jam from home to get rid of her husband’s job. The products made from mother-in-law’s recipe became famous in Delhi-NCR within a few months. Now her earning is more than her husband and she is soon going to join her husband in the business.
A woman living in Muzaffarnagar of Saharanpur division proved that with the right direction and strong will, a big business can be set up even sitting at home. The aim of this woman named Suman was to give relief to her husband from the stress of private job and keep him with her. With this purpose, Suman found a work in her house which would generate income and also keep the family together.
Suman says that her endeavor is to ensure that people get the best quality, hence special attention is paid to everything from spices to packaging. Their products are available in the range of Rs 200 to Rs 400 per kg. She tells that bitter gourd pickle and the famous dry mango pickle of UP are most liked. They have also received excellent reviews on all orders, and where deficiencies are noticed, rectifications are made immediately.
According to Suman, she started this business not just for employment but to provide relief to her husband from his job. Today her income is more than her husband’s salary and soon her husband is also going to leave his job and join this business. This story of Suman is not only an example of women empowerment, but also proves that a big business can be built from home made products.
