Ranjita Devi, a woman resident of Nichlaul area of Maharajganj district, has proved this saying completely correct. Earlier this woman used to be busy in household chores, but with time she changed herself.
He decided to join a self-help group and started the business of making incense sticks. After joining the self-help group, she is doing her work with full success and is also becoming an example of self-reliance among the local people. Although this area is considered a backward area, but Ranjita Devi has gained popularity among the people by taking such initiatives.
Gave employment to other women also
While talking to Local 18, Ranjita Devi told that after joining the self-help group, she started doing her own work. Along with her, there are other women in the group whom she leads and along with them she is doing the business of making incense sticks. She told that initially she had taken a loan of up to Rs 1.5 lakh through a self-help group, but at present she has repaid the loan.
Along with this, to expand their business, they are also applying for loan through different means, so that their business can get investment and the level of work can be further increased. He has named his group after the temple situated in the village, Panchmukhi Ithiya Temple, which is also highly praised.
Incense sticks made from flowers coming from the temple
Ranjita Devi, who is working towards making herself self-reliant by leaving the household work, says that even in the present time, there are many women who are unemployed despite having education. In such a situation, schemes like self-help groups have emerged as a new opportunity for them. Instead of throwing away the flowers coming from the temple, he has also conducted a trial of making incense sticks from them, which has also been successful. In such a situation, she is also working to take this process forward and wants to increase the production of incense sticks on a large scale.
