In today’s time, startups of many unique things have started. In such a situation, a young man from Arrah, Bihar has started the work of making a port from fabric waste. The name of the young man who prepared the product from fabric waste is Saurav Kumar. He has done Entrepreneur MBA from Amity University. Now started my own home alive decor industry. There is a lot of demand for their products from entire Bihar and other states of the country.
Saurav Kumar is a resident of Jagdev Nagar locality of Arrah. His mother also supports him a lot in this industry. A workshop has been built above the house itself. Some work is also done in their native village. Apart from this, their outlet is also near pillar number 18 in Bailey Road, Patna. Fabric waste means useless cloth. Which includes common clothes, towel, shirt, pants, blanket, all these things. Apart from cloth, it is prepared by hand in 12 steps using other materials like white cement, minor clay, water proof paint etc. When the product is ready, it is made beautiful by hand arting and painting. After that it is ready to go to the market. Available from Rs 150 to Rs 3 thousand. 10 people are employed in Saurav’s industry, of which 6 are women and 4 are men.
Saurabh told that from the beginning he was interested in doing his own business. That’s why we did MBA. After completing our studies, we started thinking what to do in which the industry can be started in a low budget. My thinking from the beginning was to do work that benefits the environment. In my work we employed women. After a lot of experimentation, the idea came that a product could be prepared using fabric waste. In the beginning, for one year we experimented at home and prepared products and gifted them to relatives and friends. When their response started getting very good, they gradually started converting it into an industry.
As a startup, Bihar government has given a loan of Rs 10 lakh to Saurav’s industry. However, the loan amount has not yet come into his account. Saurav told that if the industry mentioned by a person is completely new then it can be selected in the Startup Scheme by the Bihar Government. After which we applied online. Our idea was selected in that. Then my exam took place, after which Bihar government is ready to give loan to my startup.
