Sometimes he used to make gum from cotton seeds, and sometimes he used to earn money by selling garbage. Gradually he tried his hand in transport, mechanical and trading work and this proved to be the foundation of his bright future.
The journey of dreams reached Dubai
In the year 1976, George reached Sharjah in search of work and started working in the field of air-conditioning. There he established ‘GEO Group of Companies’. He was initially ridiculed when a relative said he would never be able to step inside the Burj Khalifa. But George took it as a challenge and decided that he would not only go inside, but would also become the owner of that building.
22 flats and net worth of Rs 4800 crore
George rented a flat in Burj Khalifa in 2010, but from there the story took a turn. Today he has 22 luxury flats in this building, which are worth crores. The annual rent of a flat is around Rs 42 lakh. According to media reports, George’s total wealth is now more than Rs 4800 crore. Dubai’s famous Emaar Properties is the owner of this building, but the name of the Indian ‘King’ of Burj Khalifa is George V. Neriyamparambil.
