- Vivek’s return changed the picture of Bastar
Package of 8 lakh said goodbye
Vivek had completed engineering studies from Bhilai. After studying, he decided to work under family pressure and started working on a package of 8 lakh rupees annually in an automobile company in Goa. But he did not mind in this job. His inclination was always towards farming. In childhood, his grandmother used to take him to the fields and used to tell things related to farming. Most of the members and friends of the family are also farmers, so Vivek’s trend was naturally towards farming.
After leaving the job, when Vivek started farming, he faced many problems. Due to lack of experience, their crops fell ill. Paddy caused diseases like stem borer, banking and scorching. Anthraquanose, Ukha and bark food insects damaged the guava crop. Chiku crop caused diseases like leaf blot disease, flat organs and sooti mold, but Vivek did not give up. He consulted agricultural experts and experienced farmers and learned to use pesticides properly in scientific methods. This improved the quality of his crop and yield also started increasing.
New path found with Israeli technology
Initially, Vivek cultivated vegetables like Bhendi, Karela. But later he started cultivation of fragrant paddy varieties like Jawaful and Tulsi Manjari. Along with this, he also planted fruit trees like mango, guava, chiku and mulberry. He started growing all these crops with Israeli mulching technology. This method helps maintain moisture, weed prevention and nutrition balance. The benefit of this started to see them directly in profit.
Examples are being made for villagers
Vivek has not only become financially self -sufficient, but now he has also given employment to many villagers. Their farming has now taken the form of a small industry, which is also inspiring the local youth. Their story proves that if there is the right direction, technology and passion, then it is possible to have a big change in the village. Vivek Bharat has emerged as a new ray of hope for the youth of Bastar today.
