Success Story: Sangeet Kumar has given employment to 15 people by setting up a plant of lower and T-shirt construction from Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana in Gaura village of Rohtas district. His annual turnover is Rs 15-16 lakh.
When a large number of youths from rural areas of Bihar are migrating to cities in search of better life and employment, then Sangeet Kumar, a resident of Gaura village in Rohtas district, has chosen a new path. He has not only created employment for himself, but has also set an example by connecting many people of his village with employment. In the year 2022, with the help of Mukhyamantri Entrepreneur Yojana, music set up a garment plant for construction of lower and T-shirt in its village.
This initiative, which started in a small room, has become a strong self -employment model today. The clothes made by them are being sent to cities like Sasaram, Bikramganj and Kochus today, where they are in good demand.
Music shows that today about 15 people are working permanently in their unit, in which each one is having monthly income of 20 to 25 thousand rupees. Apart from this, people from nearby villages also come to work temporarily, which has given financial support to dozens of families.
Sangeet Kumar’s annual turnover has now reached 15 to 16 lakh rupees. They themselves closely monitor production, supply and quality. He believes that if there are correct plan and strong intentions, then even by staying in the village, the reading of progress can be written.
Today, when migration from villages to cities is a big concern, at such a time, youths like Sangeet Kumar are awakening that the real foundation of self -sufficient Bihar can be prepared from the villages.
His journey is an inspiration for every youth, who encourages something different instead of wandering from rate to rate for employment. People are associated with music, who used to work outside. Now they are not required to go out and are working well by working near the house.
