The women of Navjyoti group are skilled in traditional skills like Badana, Badian, weaving, sewing-embroidery, kumkum production. Through these works, she is strengthening her confidence and economic condition by getting regular income. Their products are not only being sold in local markets, but demand is also increasing from nearby districts.

Madhuri Gupta, the head of the group, gave training to the women and showed them the way to become self -sufficient. He says that in the beginning, women were hesitant, but they were successful on the strength of hard work and learning. Now the group is providing employment not only themselves but also other women of the village.

The group has got training, seed capital and financial assistance in collaboration with the Department of Women and Child Development, National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and local panchayat. With this help, women were able to trade with modern technology and do better business.

The group has also received the ‘Best Group’ award. The group’s secretary Naveen Lata Gupta thanked Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvindra Singh Sukhu. He told that now every woman is earning 10 to 12 thousand rupees monthly, due to which she is becoming self -sufficient.
