Kaushambi: Aradhana Devi, who hails from Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, has become a source of inspiration for many women today. In the year 2019, he started the work of making incense sticks by joining the self -help group. In the beginning, there was only one idea in his mind that he had to become self -sufficient and other women also have to stand on their feet. With this thinking, he adopted this work.
Started business with a loan
Aradhana Devi took a loan of Rs 5 lakh after joining the self -help group. With this loan, he bought a machine to make incense and started work at home. Gradually, he increased production and started selling in the market by packing his brand “Aradhana”. Today, his made incense is easily available in the village and local market.
Aradhana Devi not only made herself self -sufficient but has also connected 10 other women with employment. She says that a bundle costs about 70 to 75 rupees to make incense sticks and it is sold in the market for 100 to 120 rupees. At present, it is mostly sold in the local market, although there are problems in reaching the outside market. On setting up government stalls, she also sells her products there, which also inspires other people.

BDO is also cooperating
BDO Bhavesh Shukla of Sirathu block is also supporting him in this work. He buys about 20 packets of incense every month so that worship and his group can get encouragement.
Aradhana Devi says that every woman should become self -sufficient. If women want, they can start self -employment by standing on their feet and can also provide employment to others.
