Shawanti flower cultivation
12 thousand flowering plants planted in one acre
Atul has planted a total of 12,000 Shewanti plants in one acre of land. He bought all these plants from Satara, which cost about 1000 rupees per plant. Apart from this, about 1 to one and a half lakh rupees were also spent on rope, mulching paper and other ingredients. Initially, the cost was definitely high, but soon its results started appearing.
Atul says that due to unseasonal rains, the price of flowers definitely declined. Earlier, where the price of Shewanti was Rs 200 per kg, now in the markets of Solapur and Mumbai, its price has reached around Rs 100 kg. Despite this, Atul has earned about one lakh rupees by selling flowers in two and a half months.
Flower crop lasts for four months
The biggest feature of Purva White Shewanti is that once the plant is planted, this crop lasts for four consecutive months. Flowers are broken every week five days and its regular sale is in the market. With good care, this crop can yield up to one ton per acre.
Finally profit from 2 to 3 lakh rupees
Atul hopes that the earnings so far and the upcoming weeks are broken, they hope that he will earn a net money of 2 to 3 lakh rupees from this crop. Even after extracting all the cost, this profit is considered very big. Atul says that there is hard work in the cultivation of flowers, but if it is done in the right time and manner, then it has tremendous benefit.
