New York. Can you think that a person will leave the job of top companies like Horvard Business School and MCKINSEY and make his own app and within a few years the company becomes ₹ 20 thousand crores (about $ 2.4 billion)? This is the story that grew up in Brazil and now in New York, 41-year-old Caesar Karwalho, who is today the CEO of a wellness company named Wellhub. Recently, in a conversation with Fortune, he told how his upbringing inspired him to create an app that is now improving the health of crores of employees around the world.

Idea came from childhood memory
Karwalho told that his childhood in Brazil was spent between greenery, parks and open gyms. Wellness was a common practice there. Neither money nor more time is required for this. But when he saw in corporate cities that it is possible for the rich to stay healthy only, he decided that something would have to be done. He said that ‘I tried to bring back the same childhood simplicity in the lives of people.’

Wellhub: Make Wellness Easy For Everyone

Karwalho launched Wellhub in America, which is now serving 26,000 companies. Through this platform, 2 crore employees are reaching more than 50,000 gym and fitness centers, 3,800 virtual trainers and 93 health apps. And the most interesting thing is that there is no rule of ‘Office’ in his company. CEO itself also goes to office 2-3 times a week.

No money, purpose is real victory
Success for Caesar is not just in money. Whenever his company achieves a big target, he enhances his charity ‘Instituto Acredite’. He says that ‘friends and family are more important than money’.
