Today’s farmers want their children to be educated and move forward. In this too, after writing reading, some parents want children to become doctors or an engineer. But no farmer wants his son to become a farmer. Experts believe that the argument behind it is not the scope of benefits in farming. But there is an engineer in Balaghat district, who did B.Tech from a private college in Indore and also got a package of 8 lakhs. But the job was disillusioned and started ancestral farming. Know the story of the person…

Leaving the job started farming
Vineet Patel, a resident of Arrandia in Paraswara tehsil of Balaghat district, used to be an engineer by profession. During the Korona period, he left a package of 8 lakh rupees and started his ancestral farming. His father Sampat Patel told that earlier he used to do traditional farming. In this, he used to cultivate paddy, wheat and gram. But now he changed the form of his father’s cultivation and cultivates pumpkin vegetables four seasons, in which they grow pumpkin, bitter gourd, gourd, cucumber and other vegetables.

If you leave engineering, earned three times
They are cultivating 6 acres of land and earning about 4 lakh rupees per acre. His vegetables are sold at good prices in local markets and mandis. That is, he earns about 18 to 24 lakh rupees in a year.

Balance of hybrid and indigenous seeds
Vineet says that he uses both hybrid and indigenous seeds. There is more demand for indigenous vegetables in the local market. Hybrid seeds provide more production, which they send to large mandis.

Irrigation and fertilizer together with fertigation technology

Vineet Patel’s form is equipped with modern techniques and equipment. They plow with a cultivator and make the soil brittle, due to which the nutrient communication is well. Mulching technology is used for moisture conservation, which also improves weed control. Vineet has adopted drip irrigation as well as fertilization technology. In this technique, fertilizer is also available along with irrigation, due to which the plants get essential nutrients easily.

Smart farmer advice to others
Vineet Patel says that if farmers do modern farming as per the demand of the market instead of traditional farming, then their income can increase manifold. The use of the same techniques and scientific farming is the key to success. Farmers can make their farming beneficial by taking advantage of subsidy and training programs from the government as well.
