His dream was that the youth of Dhanbad should not have to migrate to big cities to make their identity. With this thinking he laid the foundation of this centre. Established in the year 1988, this center has trained more than 10 thousand youth in the last 30 years and prepared them as successful teachers.
Dhanbad: Hobby Center, located in street number 10 of Jaiprakash Nagar, Dhanbad, is not just an institution but a means to give wings to the dreams of thousands of youth. Its director Shiv Shankar Dhar, with his hard work and dedication, has not only brought glory to Dhanbad in the field of education and art, but has also set an example for the society.

Shiv Shankar Dhar is not only a teacher but also a wonderful artist. He has expertise in making such paintings which can remain alive for 200 years. The pictures created by him are not only a symbol of beauty, but also tell the story of hard work, patience and dedication.
Director Shiv Shankar Dhar says that his only objective is to make every youth of Dhanbad self-reliant. He believes that if the youth of the city believe in themselves and work hard, then no goal is impossible. This story of Hobby Center proves that one person’s dedication and efforts in the right direction can bring positive change in the lives of thousands of people, creating a new definition of inspiration in the field of education and art.
