Dr. Chewang Noru Bhutia established Crafted Fibers to preserve the cultural heritage of Sikkim and to financially empower the local community, especially women, and make the local people skill training and makes them self -reliant. The villages weavers, cattlemen and self-help groups are associated with the crafted fibers of Dr. Bhutia and are earning well. Crafted fibers are made of shawls, stalls, gloves, socks and local handlooms. It uses the wool that comes from the rabbits and sheep of Sikkim. The special thing is that in its products, colors are also completely natural, in which chemical is not used.
