N. Balaram is a obsessive environment lover and started this campaign on the occasion of World Environment Day 5 June 2019. Since then, he has planted plants of different species at 53 different places of SCCL. This initiative is not only to increase the green cover but also a strong step against climate change.
SCCL has always given priority to environmental protection. The company has run several schemes to plant trees, water conservation and carbon emissions. So far millions of saplings have been planted under the leadership of Balaram, but planting 20,000 saplings by a person is a wonderful achievement.
Inspiration for society
This effort of Balaram is not only a record but also a message for the society that big changes can be brought with small efforts. He said that trees are our best friends who give us clean air, shadow and fruits. All of us should contribute to making the earth green by planting more and more saplings.
Along with this, SCCL has announced that it will conduct more plantation campaigns in the coming years, so that sustainable development and nature conservation can be promoted.
