New Delhi: Ayushi Dabas, SDM of Vasant Vihar, Delhi, is today an example for every person who believes that any dream can be fulfilled with hard work and faith. Today Ayushi Dabas is a living inspiration for not just thousands but lakhs of people. He is a ray of hope for those who believe that if there is courage in the heart and faith is firm, then no dream remains unfulfilled. Ayushi has been visually impaired since childhood, but she never allowed her weakness to become her identity. Recently, by winning Rs 25 lakh in the famous show like Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), he proved that self-confidence is the biggest strength.
Ayushi tells that it was her mother’s first idea to go to KBC. Whenever she watched the show, she used to say that one day we too will definitely go there. At the open audition held in Delhi on 31 May, her mother told Ayushi that let’s try once. Both of them went there and luck favored Aayushi. She got a call for the Fastest Finger first round and then she reached the hot seat. At that moment his mother’s dream came true.
Journey from teacher to officer
Ayushi started her career as a teacher. First taught alphabets to children in primary school, then became a lecturer in history. She says that while teaching, she got inspired to do something big for the society. This thinking led him towards UPSC. With the support of her family and her hard work, she passed UPSC in 2022 and became an IAS officer.
There were many challenges, but the courage was greater.
Ayushi tells that studies were not easy due to visual impairment since childhood. Had to listen to books in audio, had to learn to use laptop and screen reader. Ayushi says that it was a team work. His entire family stood by him, his brother taught him digital tools and his parents encouraged him at every step.
A heart touching message written for mother
During the interview, Ayushi read a poem written by herself for her mother,
Who has seen God?
It’s just the faith of the mind,
But the blessing I got,
Saw his true form in him,
I have seen my mother, my God.

Ayushi says, we should have faith in ourselves and recognize our abilities. Education is the most powerful tool which gives us respect and recognition. Ayushi ji says that only through education we get respect and understanding. Education is very important for all of us.
