Milk, curd and cheese are ready
Milk, curd and cheese are being prepared from soybean in Gayaji, Bihar and its demand is also good in the markets. Most of its demand is being seen in Bodh Gaya hotels and restaurants. Surj Kumar, a resident of Panchanpur Chainpura village in the district, has set up a processing unit. Suraj set up this industry by taking a loan from PMFME and now gradually this business has started making a good identity in the district. Milk prepared from soybean is selling Rs 40-50 a liter easily while the price of cheese i.e. Tofu is 250 rupees per kg.
Before setting up a soybean processing unit, Suraj Kumar used to work as an MR in Delhi and earn 37 thousand rupees a month. In Delhi, he had eaten soybean milk, curd and cheese. After thinking from there, he came to his village and started its industry. Within 1 year, their business has started spreading rapidly. 20 to 25 kg of cheese is being produced daily from their processing unit. It is demanding in the surrounding markets.
50-60 thousand of the month is savings
Suraj Kumar is now saving 50 to 60 thousand rupees from this industry. However, it is expected that this business will grow further in the coming days and as people know the benefits of soybean milk, cheese and curd, its demand will increase further. Talking to Local 18, Suraj Kumar says that milk, curd and cheese of cow and buffalo are found everywhere, but milk, curd and cheese are prepared from soybean at some places in Gaya and Bihar. He told that from 1 kg of soybean, 6 to 7 liters of milk and one and a half kg of cheese are ready. The price of a KG soybean is 65 rupees. If there is 7 liters of milk, then there will be income of up to Rs 280-350 at the rate of 40-50 liters. Talking about cheese, 375 rupees will be income from only one KG.
