First guard then became office boy, now owner of 400 crores, given a job to 2000 people, returned home and made the company stand up

There was a time when Neeraj Singh used to work as a security guard on the streets of Delhi, it was a dream for him to buy a bicycle. Today, the same Neeraj Singh owns more than half a dozen industries in Shivhar district of Bihar and is providing employment to more than 2,000 people. His story proves that if the intentions are strong and hard work is true, then any person can change his luck.

Neeraj Singh told Local 18 that many states including Jharkhand, UP, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune in search of jobs. But, he has got success in Bihar itself. He said that there is a lot in Bihar, but you should have spirit to do something. Outside, due to a month of Rs 2200, he used to do two shift duty per day. Till yesterday, we wandered for a job of thousand two thousand and today our company has a turnover of 400 crores. His company is on his mother’s name, Usha industry. The younger brother gave him a lot of support after becoming an engineer.

Start with struggles

Neeraj Singh was born in Mathurapur village in Shivhar district. After passing 2000 matriculation, for the first time in search of employment, he went to Jharkhand with a young man from his village, but due to his age, he could not get a security guard job. Disappointed, he returned to the village and started selling petrol and diesel by putting a small gum there. In the year 2000, he was looking for a job since then. In view of the family situation, Neeraj, buried under the burden of teaching brothers and running the house, went out towards the state.

Travel from Delhi to Pune
In 2003, he again gathered courage and turned to Delhi. While working hard day and night, he worked as a security guard in a pharmaceutical company, but due to low salary, he had to shift another. In 2004, he moved to Pune and also worked as a security guard there. He became an office boy in the same office in search of work, then traveled to HR Assistant in 2006.

Homecoming and new beginnings

He returned to the village permanently after his grandmother’s death in 2009. In 2010, he started a job at a salary of just Rs 3,300 at a microfinance company in Motihari. During the field work, he understood the pulse of the market and it was from here that his business journey was laid. Neeraj Singh said that in 2010, he gave an interview in a micro finance company in Motihari after seeing the advertisement in the paper and joined the salary of Rs 3300.

First chance and first profit
While living in Motihari, there was a field work that had done there, then understood the condition in the market and they thought that the purchase of grains should be sold. However, due to a salary of 3300 hundred, he was also unable to do it. Meanwhile, one of his relatives had to take land in Motihari and he contacted Neeraj. Neeraj Singh told this to his friends and then after seeing a land, bought his relative. At the same time, the middlemen gave them 25000 thousand rupees as a reward. With this money, he started the work of buying and selling food grains. Today we sell crores of grains. His first commercial experiment was to buy grains from the village and sell it in cities.

Hard hard work to business empire
Neeraj Singh expanded the grain trade rapidly and in a few years this trade became Rs 20-30 crore annually. After this, he did not look back. Currently they are trading in many areas such as tiles, fiber blocks, flyx bricks, NH dividers, road construction boards, maida and brick industry. Which is the largest company in Bihar today, 800 hundred people work daily. The product of his company goes to all government companies. Apart from this, there are also sensors of number one. Currently this year, in 2025, the petrol pump has also opened Dumri near the Shivhar-Motihari path of the village. Today, more than 2 thousand people are working in all their companies.
