Success story: Pooja Sakhi, a resident of Ghatampur village in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, has become an inspiration for rural women today. Pooja, who belongs to a poor family, not only took over her household with her hard work and dedication, but also chose the path to become self -sufficient. Pooja started the work of making small products under Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission. Today, she is preparing products such as herpic, soap and washing powder. The special thing is that Pooja is not only earning her from this work, but is also connecting other women of the village.
At present, Pooja Sakhi is providing employment to about 30 women with her. She training women in making products by connecting with groups and encourages them to become self -sufficient. Pooja says, “I always tell women that do not come to ask for four money from anyone. You all work hard and improve your future.”
Simple packaging, big encouragement
Currently, Pooja is selling her products without label, packing it in ordinary paper. These goods are still sold in the village and surrounding areas at the local level. However, his dream is that in the coming time, introduce your product in the market with brand name and attractive packaging.
